Initial Training
Owner Training
The mandatory one-week training course at our Denver coroporate office covers everything you'll need to open, operate, and grow your business. Topics include studio operations, recruitment and training, marketing, and more. While at least one signer on your franchise agreement is required to attend, we encourage all partners to participate in training. As the owner, you do not need to be a cetified cosmetologist. Entrepreneurial drive and business acumen are much more important than industry or business ownership experience. In fact, we have several successful franchisees who came into the system with next to no knowledge of waxing or the industry.
Cerologist Training
Your future Cerologists must be licensed estheticians or costmetologists. Typically concurrent with your initial training, your employees will receive one-to-one training from our master Cerologists to ensure they are delivering our optimal waxing and client service standards. Your staff will leave training certified as Waxing the City Cerologists™. Your studio coordinators, if you choose to hire them, also have a customized training track where they learn the art of superior client service.
We also offer an optional kick-start training program that brings a Waxing the City representative to your studio during your opening week for additional support. And all of our studios receive 6-month Cerologist check-ins to make sure things are running smoothly.
Ongoing Training
After opening, you’ll receive a detailed operations manual that covers every aspect of running and growing your business. You will also receive ongoing, one-to-one support from your Franchise Consultant at the corporate office. They are the tip of the spear when it comes to support, as they will serve as your first point of contact to a robust corporate team of experts in operations, marketing, staff management, and more.
We also offer quarterly regional training workshops called Vitals. Held in various locations around the country, these workshops help you stay up to date with industry changes, new wax techniques, and strategies to build your business and the Waxing the City brand.
